David Meyer

David Lee Meyer, age 61, of Hudsonville, passed away peacefully and went to be with the Lord on Sunday December 21, 2025.

Dave was a loving father, grandfather, son, and brother. Known for his humor, kindness, and generosity, he always loved a good laugh and had a gift for making others smile. He was quick to lend a helping hand to friends and neighbors and was remarkably talented at fixing almost anything, thanks to his strong mechanical skills.

Dave was humble, adventurous, and happiest when outdoors. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and riding his motorcycle, embracing life with energy and enthusiasm. A devoted sports fan, he proudly cheered for the University of Michigan and the Detroit Tigers. Dave rarely sat still—always busy, always moving—and his goofy nature brought joy to those around him. Above all, he had a deeply caring heart and showed his love faithfully to his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Roger Meyer; and sister, Debbie Treece. He will be lovingly remembered by his two daughters, Kristina and Hassan Machlab, Amanda and Jeremy Palmer; grandchildren, Cameron, Lucas, Zahra, and Ali; mother, Dorothy Eder; siblings, Dianna Meyer, Donna and Jeff Clifton, Dawn Meyer, Dennis Meyer; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, December 29, at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW with Pastor Dennis Gilbert officiating. The burial will take place at Georgetown Township Cemetery. Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Sunday, December 28, from 2-4 p.m. and on Monday from 1-2 p.m. at the funeral home.
