David McNeil

David John McNeil, age 60, of Kentwood, MI, passed quietly in his sleep to be with Our Lord and Savior on Thursday, October 15, 2020.

Waiting for him in Heaven is his son, Air Force Lieutenant, Robert Martin McNeil; father and mother, Fred and Dorothy McNeil; sister Mary Howell; sister in law Darlene McNeil; brother in law Larry Larson; brother in law Kenny Briles; along several beloved nieces and nephews.

David will be lovingly remembered as a true, loyal, and kind hearted soul with unmatchable wit and sense of humor, who would literally give the shirt off of his back. He was a creative soul with so many talents he shared in his artwork and beautiful floral displays in which he loved to arrange “just to see someone smile”.

Dave is survived and deeply missed by his daughter, Cassandra McNeil (Adam Giszewski) and grandchildren Evelyn (16), Olivia (12), Avaca(7), and Athen Finn(4); and siblings: Patricia Ackley; Joseph McNeil; Linda Larson; Kate (Sam) Ciluffo; Irene Briles; Sharon (Ray) Havens; Mike McNeil; and Rosemary (Bob) Dailey; along with many nieces and nephews whom he adored.

David's memorial service will be held at 4 pm on Thursday, October 29, 2020 at the Celebration Bible Church of Grandville, MI: 4690 8th Avenue SW, 49418. We will gather for refreshments after to celebrate David's life in memory.

In lieu of floral arrangements we would appreciate memorial contributions in memory of David John McNeil and Robert Martin McNeil, to 22 TOO MANY; a donation society that works with athletes to honor and remember fallen military veterans who have lost their lives to suicide.
