David Martinez

David Martinez, age 48, of Wyoming, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, March 10, 2025. David had a great sense of humor and loved to crack jokes. He had the type of personality that made it easy to make many close friends. He loved to work on cars and always stayed busy working on many projects. More than anything, David loved his family and cherished the time that he spent with them. 

He was preceded in death by his father, Ismael Martinez; brother, Ismael Martinez Jr.; and his nephew, Carlos Martinez.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Esther Reyes; children, Meshach Sanchez, Isaac Streator, Mayah Martinez, Cali Martinez, David Martinez; mother, Amalia Martinez; siblings, Sam Martinez, Luis Martinez, Lisa Martinez; and many nieces, nephews, and close friends.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 15, at 12pm, at Wyoming Park United Methodist Church at 2244 Porter St. SW, Wyoming, with Rev. Jorge Chaidez officiating.  Burial will be held at Resurrection Cemetery.  Relatives and friends may meet the family Friday, March 14, from 4-7 pm at MKD Kentwood Funeral Chapel at 4646 Kalamazoo Ave SE, Kentwood, and an hour prior to the service at the church from 11am to noon. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Wyoming Park United Methodist Church for La Casa De Mi Padre Church.
