David Lee Thompson

Thompson, David Lee David Lee Thompson, aged 71, of Wyoming, passed away on Tuesday, May 20, 2014 after a short battle with cancer. He was preceded in death by his mother, Esther Wells. He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Gloria (Gelinas), sons, Martin and Chris; sister-in-law, Donna Schleeter; and nephews, Brian and Mark Schleeter. Dave proudly served his country as a member of the United States Air Force from 1961 to 1964. A memorial service will be held 1pm Saturday, May 31 at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4031 Clyde Park SW, Wyoming with Fr. Phil Shangraw officiating. The family will greet friends and relatives at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be made to Gilda’s Club.

Gloria, I just found out today about Dave's passing. Please accept my condolences. Dave was a great friend to me and we shared lots of laughs and head shaking moments over the years we worked together. I never go to a Griffins game without looking up for you and Dave in your usual spot behind the net. I will continue to look because I know he is there somehow.
