During his spare time he was captain of the Jos rugby club and also played polo and raised several horses. David worked as an accountant for several years and then as an independent commercial real estate developer in MI. In 1977, David and Naomi changed course and went to Indonesia for two years as a Field Manager for World Vision. They returned from Indonesia in 1979 residing in Illinois, Michigan and for a few years in Texas. They moved back to Michigan where Naomi passed away in January of 2015. David continued living in Michigan as a widower until entering his rest with the Lord.
