David H. McSpadden

David Howard McSpadden, aged 57 of Wayland, born December 23, 1956 died October 24, 2014 after a short battle with cancer. He is in heaven today, because of the decision he made on November 7, 1988. Thanking God that even when we aren’t always faithful, He always is. He was preceded in death by his son, Billy; father and mother, William and Juanita McSpadden of Lafayette, GA. He is survived by his wife, Tammie; daughter, Luci and extended family still residing in Georgia and Tennessee. David worshipped at Dorr Baptist Church and drove truck for Kent Quality Foods. He is remembered for his southern expressions, extensive knowledge of the trucking industry and many other qualities and talents. Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday, October 29th at the Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Chapel (Caledonia), 616 E. Main St. from 5-8 pm. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11:00 am at the Dorr Baptist Church, 1504 – 142nd Ave. with Pastor Richard Helderop officiating. Interment in Lakeside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions to Transport for Christ.

Tammie and Luci, I want you to know that David reminded me so much of my own father George. David was funny, kind, and I still remember his laughter and expressions. I envision them both sitting and chatting with there arms around their sons (there also) and Buster and Jaunita laughing as they tell there stories. Tammy and Luci, I just wanted to express my sincerest condolences in the loss of David. We all loved him dearly. Even though the physical distance between us with you guys in Michigan and us in Tennessee seemed great.. Whenever we saw each other.. It was as if no time at all had passed. David will be missed dearly. But I believe he is rejoicing with the others in our family that have moved on up to heaven. I pray God's peace will bring you the comfort that only he can bring.
