David E. Hauskins, age 84, of Kentwood, passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 27, 2018 surrounded by his family.  He will be lovingly remembered by Nadine, his wife of 64 years; daughters, Tamie (Kevin) VanNorman, Shelley (Matt) Frederick; grandchildren, Cassie (Pat) Fergerson, Joel (Mallory) VanNorman, Cody VanNorman, Jarod VanNorman, Tyler DeYoung, Taner DeYoung, and Trenton DeYoung; great-grandchildren, Thea VanNorman, Dash VanNorman, and Madden Fergerson.  He was preceded in death by his infant daughter, Margaret Ann; his parents, Orville and Dorothy Hauskins; and 4 brothers and 1 sister.  David was a hardworking man and retired from Meijer after many years as a Systems Analyst.  His love for God was evidenced in every area of his life, including his involvement with his church.  He enjoyed traveling, camping, but his favorite times were times spent with his family and grandchildren.  A private burial will take place at Graceland Memorial Park in Cascade, MI.  A Celebration of Life service will be held at Grand Rapids Baptist Church at 4525 Stauffer Ave SE, Grand Rapids, MI, 49508 at 10:00 am on Monday, December 31, 2018.  Prior to the service, the family will receive visitors at the church, beginning at 9:00 am.
