David Bruce Schildhouse

David Schildhouse, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully September 1, 2025.
David, a man of great character and deep faith, lived a life rooted in love, service, and devotion to others. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Susan, with whom he shared a lifetime of love and cherished memories.
David proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army and later enjoyed a long and dedicated career at Rapistan. Beyond his work, his true passion was people. He built deep and lasting relationships with everyone he met. He never hesitated to share his faith and left a lasting impact on countless lives.
He is lovingly remembered by his children: Mike, Mark, Jeff (Tricia), and Kathy (Hector). David was a proud grandfather to Aaron (Jeanette), Shannon (Sam), Zach (Delaney), and Chase. He was especially blessed to become a great-grandfather to little Lane, who brought him immense joy.
David’s life was enriched by his friendships. David especially appreciated his friend Les Bullock, who helped David often, especially during the last several weeks.
Those who knew David will remember his unwavering faith, his kindness, and the way he made every person feel seen and valued. His legacy will live in the hearts of his family and friends, and in the countless lives he touched with his compassion and generosity.
A service to celebrate David’s life will be held, Saturday, September 6 at 3:00 pm, at MKD Funeral Chapel 1601 Post Dr., Belmont.
