David Blanchard

David Owen Blanchard, age 52, of Grandville, was called to his heavenly home on August 19, 2021. He was preceded in death by his grandpa, Ward Blanchard. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 31 years, Lorraine (Lori); his children, Rachelle (Zach) Blanchard, Tyler (Rachel) Blanchard, Nicole Blanchard, Jennifer Blanchard, his parents; Kenneth and Annette Blanchard, Barbara and Bill Beukema; mother-in-law, Marcia Beukema, brother, Kevin (Cindy) Blanchard, sister Linda (Gary) Blandford, sisters-in-law, Christy (Bob) Bakker, Debbie (Derek) Jones, step-sisters, Angie (Beau) Stephens, Lisa (Travis) Lehman, many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. He will also be missed by his loving dog, Maverick. Dave was a warm, loving, caring husband, father and son. He loved his family with his whole heart and was very patient with everyone. He was generous and hard working, completing any task he took on. He enjoyed taking care of his lawn and garden, especially all the flowers. Dave enjoyed running with his wife, lifting weights and being active with his family. Dave also enjoyed being goofy, making others laugh, and playing games with his family. He was a faith-filled man who raised his family to love the Lord. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 25, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. at Jenison Bible Church 6360 14th Avenue, Hudsonville with Pastor Charlie Grimaldi and Pastor Rich McCarrell officiating. Private family burial will take place at Georgetown Township Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Tuesday from 5 - 8 p.m. at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW.
