David B. MacDonald

David B.MacDonald, age 78, of Allendale, was called to his heavenly home to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, November 21, 2018. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Kimberlee Trethewey.He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 58 years, Jean; his son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Mary MacDonald; grandchildren, Mikal and Katie MacDonald, Zakery and Staci MacDonald, Nikolas and Megan MacDonald, Lisa and Scott Merchant, Dana and Luke Bailey; his 4 great-grandsons, Jobe, Kaiden, Killian and Flynn; his sisters, Mary and Paul Mulder, Dorothy Burgwald; brothers, Paul MacDonald, Ralph and Joyce MacDonald; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Janice Bidwell, Kathy and Ned Shaneberger, Ken and Sandy Stevens; several loving nieces, nephews, and cousins. Dave was a loving husband, dad,  grandpa, and great-grandpa who cherished his family. He faithfully served his Lord and Savior at his church with his time and talents in various ways. Dave was a past district governor of Lions International where he was involved for many years. Over the years, he enjoyed traveling  to many countries over the world with family and friends. Dave always looked forward to spending time up at the cottage fishing and making fun memories with his grandchildren. Above all, Dave was a humble  servant of his Lord and Savior and a faithful prayer warrior.  Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 26, 2018 11:00 am at Life Stream Church, 6561 Lake Michigan Dr., Allendale, with Dr. Jim Maness officiating.  Interment Allendale Township Cemetery.  Relatives and friends may meet the family Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home (Allendale) 6651 Scott St, Allendale, 49401.  Those who wish may make memorial contributions to “Making Room Campaign” of Life Stream Church.
