David Aten

ATEN - Our precious son, David James Aten, aged 10 months, went to be with the Lord Friday, September 16, 2011. David was preceded in death by his great grandpa, James Delmar Aten; and his namesake, great uncle, David Wright. Surviving are his parents, James R. Aten and Jamie E. Brown; grandparents, James B. Aten & Robin Cook, Tami Aten & Thomas Waddell, Sandy & Tony Robison, Gary Brown; great grandparents, Mattie Aten, Rosalie Payne, Ann and George Brown, Rosina & Roger Pommier, Clifford Wright; aunts and uncles, Brieanna Aten, Tommy Rose, Crystal & Shawn Jones, Anthony Brown. David will be remembered for his love of playing peek-a-boo, jelly bracelets, his monkey Cheech, pulling grass, animals especially dogs and cats, blowing raspberries, shaking his head "no" all the time, watching Spongebob, playing with cell phones and remotes, sitting at the computer and watching, giving "high fives", hugs and licking faces, rattles, playing with real and toy keys, staring at himself in mirrors, bath time and playing in water and drinking Arnold Palmer tea. Peanut, Davy Jones, Lil Dude, Munchers, Big Boy, Bubba and Little Big Man are just some of his affectionate nicknames he was so often called. A memorial service for David will be held at 7:45PM Tuesday, September 20, 2011 at the Ronan-Vanderpool-Stegenga Funeral Chapel, 3131 S. Division Ave., with visitation from 6pm until time of service.
