David Anthony Morris, aged 67 of Kentwood, passed away on Thursday, December 3, 2015. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Maggie Morris; and an infant son, David Morris Jr. He is survived by his sons, Michael Anthony Morris (Shawnie Crider), Brian Joseph Morris (Sandra); grandchildren, Jessica Crider, Meklo Lopez, Gregory Mayhue-Crider, Tazeea Lopez, Ashley Radle, Brianna Morris, Braylon Morris, Brooklynne Morris; ex-wife, Diane Ontis; and many brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews. David had a giving and caring nature and welcomed all who came into his home. He made sure you felt loved and never left on an empty stomach. Being such a quiet man, he touched so many lives. David’s greatest interests were his family, grandchildren, cooking, Detroit Tigers, Detroit Lions, and Michigan Football. Funeral services for David will be held on Monday at 2:00 pm at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4031 Clyde Park SW, Wyoming with Pastor Dennis Gilbert officiating. Interment Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Relatives and friends may meet the family at the funeral home on Monday from 12-2 pm prior to the service.

Rawhide was my guy, l remember all the horse shoes, cribbage games we played and watching all the Tigers, Lions gamea together and All THE SUNDAY DINNERS YOU MADE.. U also was like a second dad to me.. LOVE YOU BONES AND MIKE

Brian and Mike, so sorry to hear about your dad, Rawhide, passing away. He was a good man who made me feel welcome the first time I met him. I'm sure he made everyone feel that way. He was also very funny, always had a good story to tell. May he rest in peace with our Lord. Keep his memory alive always...cause Stone Cold Steve Austin says so 😊
