Darlene Martineau, age 79, of Grand Rapids, went to be with her Savior, Jesus Christ, early on Monday, September 9, 2019, surrounded by family in the comfort of her room. Darlene was a devoted mother who loved her children and always instilled in them the importance of family and  loving each other always.  She is preceded in death by her grandson, Bradley Cook.  Darlene will be lovingly remembered by five children, Phillip Hennessy, Jimmy (Nancy) Erickson, Donna (Kevin) Cook, Michelle (Ken) Lane, Kathy Martineau; beloved grandchildren, Corey, Nate, Felicia, Preston, Payton; precious great-grandchildren, Corban, Azaliah, Dylan, Blake, and Alexander.  Darlene loved spending time outside, watching movies, and being with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  A celebration and memorial of Darlene’s life will be held on Saturday, September 14, at 1:00 pm at Chapel Pointe, 3350 Baldwin St., Hudsonville, 49426 (please use East entrance).  Relatives and friends may meet the family from 12-1 prior to the service at the church. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital.
