Darlene Driggers

Darlene M. Driggers, age 59, of Wyoming, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 31, 2017 after a brief illness. She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Driggers; sister, Lily Grosvenor; parents, Lyle and Virginia DeWinter. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Edward Holmgren, Robert (Katey Friedley) Driggers; grandson, Xavier Driggers; brothers and sister, Jesse Waldrep, Sandi Craig, Michael DeWinter; and many nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Darlene’s life will be held at a date to be determined. When I first met Darlene Driggers many years ago, she was kind and sweet and the kind of person that was interested in what you had to say and who everyone was as a person. She was friendly and also a person that always came across honest and had a fun sense of humor that always had me laughing. Darlene is someone that I was lucky to have known as a person and will miss greatly. She will have a special place in my heart and will be someone that I'm happy to have known and won't ever be able to forget.

My Aunt Darlene was one of a kind. She lived with my mother and father when I was born and we developed a bond that will always be cherished in my heart. Some of my earliest memories are of her. I even remember a small brown and orange teddy bear she got me when I was a baby. She was a lover and a fighter she reminded me a lot of my mother. I miss you already and I love you so much.
