Daniel Robert Rosema, age 72, of Jenison, passed away on Sunday, April 7, 2024. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bob and Betty Rosema. Dan will be remembered by his children, Chris and Sarah Rosema, Jordan and Justin DeWeerd, Steffen and Brooke Rosema; grandchildren, Paityn, Weston, Landon; siblings, Kathy and Dave VerWys, Pat and Dan Helmholdt, Russ and Sue Rosema; friends, John Lind, and Rick VanWyk; his Putt Putt’s family; and Dan’s beloved companion, his dog, Sugar. Dan retired from the Wyoming Police Department after many years of faithful service. He was a simple man, and he enjoyed his friends and conversation. His unique personality will be dearly missed. A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2024 from 1-4 pm at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Kentwood), 4646 Kalamazoo Ave, 49508. The family invites you to celebrate Dan’s life at Putt Putt’s Bar and Grill immediately following the visitation. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make memorial contributions to the Michigan Association of Chiefs of Police.
