Danial Homrich

HOMRICH - Mr. Danial Homrich aged 65 of Kentwood passed away, Saturday December 31, 2016. Danial was a kindhearted, hard working maintenance man for Packaging Corporation of America now Caraustar Custom Packaging. He was a fisherman, a hunter, an appreciator of science and science fiction, and most of all an enjoyer of life. At Wyoming Park High School he set records as a track and field athlete for the long and high jump at that time. He has helped many people over the years even at times when he did not have the most to work with. He was the most supportive Dad of three girls, Christina Peacock (Bob), Nicole Homrich (Scott) and Patricia Homrich (Matt). Flying solo in 1991 he did everything he could to help his girls. He had three grandchildren, Ronald Taylor III, Breanna Peacock, Abbie Jo Cronkright. He loved his grandchildren and spending time with them. He had four sisters and one brother, Kathy Ladner, Judy Vanputten, Mary Schmidt, Becky Schuelke-Shehorn and David Schuelke, he enjoyed spending time with his siblings. He had many friends, neighbors, co-workers that enjoyed time with Dan. He adored his mother, Patricia Vanputten and grandmother, Verba Page. Loved his step-dad Oscar "Paul" Schuelke. His great uncle Monty Homrich was a musician and loved to visit with him during hunting season. Danial father, Lyle Homrich lived in Seattle, WA. Danial was a great gardener which he had won an award for, he loved to cook, can various foods, have campfire sand enjoy the outdoors. He enjoyed life and embraced having fun whenever possible. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Memorial services are planned for 5:00 PM Friday, January 6, 2017 at the Stegenga Funeral Chapel - Wyoming, 3131 S.
