It is with sad hearts, but also hearts of praise to the Lord, that we announce the homegoing of Danford H. Stadt, age 82, of Grandville. Dan was born on March 23, 1943, the son of Egbert and Ester Stadt. He was a teacher at Sibley Elementary School in Grand Rapids for thirty-four years. Dan loved camping, bike riding, bonfires, and being with family. He is survived by his wife, Lois DeWindt; daughter, Tracey (Kevin) Weberg; son, Todd (Patricia) DeWindt; grandchildren, Brittany (Joe) Holthof, Bryce (Bryce) DeWindt, Celia (Samantha) Blakeman-Weberg, Chenery Weberg and fiancé, Tyler Brands, and Elise Weberg; great-grandchildren, Mason Holthof, Reid Holthof, Otto DeWindt, Eliza DeWindt; brothers, Robert and Terri Stadt, Rev. Paul and Linda Stadt; sister-in-law, Peg Sivins; and his nieces and nephews. A private graveside service will be held at Grandville Cemetery. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to West Michigan Hospice.
