Dale Tewksbury

TEWKSBURY- Dale E. Tewksbury of Belmont passed away Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at his home. Dale was preceded in death by his parents, Merrill Tewksbury and Myrtle (Berkey) Baribeau; his brothers and sisters, Merrill, Darwin, Marjorie, Jeannette and Vivian. Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Nola Jean (aka, Sherri); his brother, Ralph (Rose) Tewksbury; his children, Greg (Margaret "Peg") Tewksbury, Ruth Tewksbury, Diane Tewksbury Miller and Dennis (Liz) Swanson; grandchildren, Claire & Katie Tewksbury, Will Miller, Rebecca Karrar, Jessica (Jeff) Potts, Ryan, Dillon and Garret Miller; great grandchildren, Ryan & Mia Rose Potts. Dale graduated from Comstock Park High School with the Class of 1948, he worked as a mechanic for the City of Walker for many years also serving the Walker Recreation Department as an umpire. He was a former member of the Sparta Moose Lodge and the Comstock Park VFW. Dale was a great fan of the University of Michigan and honored Bo Schembechler by passing on his birthday 😊 Go Blue!! Services will be 3:00 pm Sunday, April 6, 2014 at Frontline Church, 4411 Plainfield Ave. NE Grand Rapids. The family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at the Stegenga Funeral Chapel, 1601 Post Dr. NE, Belmont and following the service at church on Sunday.
