Dale Skinner

SKINNER - A true blue Michigan fan, Dale Keith Skinner went to the "Big House" on Sunday, September 11, 2011, at the age of 75. He leaves us to rejoin his parents, Melbourne and Pauline; his sister, Phylis; and his son, Todd. His memory will be cherished by his children, Craig (Nanci) Skinner, Denise Skinner, Mitch Skinner, Kurt (Nicole) Skinner; brother, Lee (Eileen) Skinner; 8 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; and all who knew him. Dale had an incredible love of nature, especially the Manistee River, that he passed on to his family. His sense of humor and ability to tell a joke were legendary, a legacy we will always maintain. Special thanks to Jerry, Sharon, Shirley and Corky for being there until the end. Thanks also to the people at Whispering Woods and Hospice for easing his passing. Relatives and friends are invited to meet with the family Wednesday, September 14 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM at the Ronan-Vanderpool-Stegenga Funeral Chapel, 3131 S. Division Ave., to exchange stories and jokes. Feel free to wear maize and blue. A memorial service will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, September 15 at the funeral chapel with visitation one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Stegenga Funeral Chapel to help the family with expenses.
