Dale Oosterbaan

Dale Oosterbaan, age 60, of Wyoming, formerly of Allendale, beloved husband, father, grandfather, son and brother, left this earth and entered into the presence of his Savior on Friday, January 6, 2017 after a brief battle with cancer. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Lia Oosterbaan; and his brother, Paul Oosterbaan. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Linda Oosterbaan; children, Erik and Kirsten Oosterbaan, Alan and Amy Oosterbaan, Justin and Tori Oosterbaan, Kari and Travis Van Oosten, Sara and Ryan Bolhuis, William Jensen IV, Isaac Jensen, Luke Jensen; grandchildren, Kayla, Foster, Lydia, Lia; parents, Victor and Phyllis Oosterbaan; sister, Joyce and Alan Haarsma; brother, Lee and Mary Oosterbaan; and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held on Monday, January 9, 2017 at 6:30 PM at Bethany United Reformed Church, 5401 Byron Center Ave. SW, Wyoming, with Rev. Casey Freswick officiating. A private graveside service will be held at Allendale Township Cemetery. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Right to Life of Holland.

From church to coaching to playing softball, your parents were the greatest example of Christian love. With the passing of your father, my deepest sympathies and prayers are with each and every one of you during this time. We never met Dale, but we knew his Father, Vic. I, Wayne, worked with and also for Vic many years at Lear-Siegler in Grand Rapids. Vic was a fair and honest fellow worker and later my fair and understanding foreman. June & I offer our sincere condolences on his and Phyllis' great loss May the Lord comfort them in their sorrow.
