Dale Nickelson

Dale Nickelson, age 83, of Kentwood, passed away on Wednesday, February 21, 2024 after a brief battle with cancer. He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda (Laban) Nickelson; brothers, Robert Nickelson, Gerald Nickelson, Donald Nickelson; sister, Irene (Nickelson) Kennedy; and his granddaughter, Jordan Nickelson. He will be lovingly remembered by his son, Craig, and daughter-in-law, Kristin Nickelson; their children, grandsons, Connor and Gage; daughter, Lori and son-in-law, Todd Maleport; their children, grandsons, Troy (Karla), Jace and Reese (Ashley); daughter, Lisa, and son-in-law, Daniel Gelock; their children, granddaughters, Skylar and Sidney; great-granddaughters, Raelyn, Brielle and Charlee; and his sister Virginia (Nickelson) Beardsley. Dale will be missed for his funny sense of humor and his love for sports. He also enjoyed playing games and making up and changing the rules as he went along. A memorial visitation will be held Saturday, March 9 from 1-3pm at Kentwood Christian Church. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make memorial contributions to the Humane Society of West Michigan.
