Dale J. Bordewyk

Dale Bordewyk, age 82, of Hudsonville, a child of God, beloved husband and father, joined his Lord and Savior in his heavenly home on September 2, 2018. He will be deeply missed by his loving wife of almost 60 years, Shirley; children, Bruce (Diane) Bordewyk, Doug Bordewyk, Diane Braun; grandchildren, Mitch (Jessica) Braun, Nicole (Zach) Schmidt, Nick (Myrissa) Bordewyk, Matt Bordewyk, Josh Bordewyk, Andrea Bordewyk, Travis (Alicia) Bordewyk, Jessica Bordewyk; great-grandchildren, Haylie and Juno Braun, Devon, Tegan, and Logan Swift, Grayson Schmidt. He was preceded in death by his parents, Herman and Cora Bordewyk; brother, Herm (Donna); and son-in-law, Jerry Braun. Dale was a Navy veteran and had a lifelong love for travel.  We celebrate Dale’s life and his love for the Lord. Visitation will be at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4145 Chicago Drive SW, Grandville, 49418 on Wednesday, September 5, from 2 to 4 PM and 6 to 8 PM.  Funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 6, 11:00 AM at Baldwin Street Christian Reformed Church, 2101 Baldwin St., Jenison, 49428. Contributions in memory of Dale may be made to Baldwin Street CRC Mission Fund or the Van Andel Research Institute - Parkinson’s Research.
