Cynthia Mae Odle

Cynthia M. Odle (Paavola/Thibodeaux), of whom her family members and friends will always remember fondly, has left us by an unexpected tragic passing.  She was preceded in death by her father, John D. Thibodeaux and mother, Veryl J. Erickson (Crittenden).  Cindy is survived by her only child, John G. Paavola; long-time girlfriend, Angelina M. Vilchez; numerous brothers and sisters, and nieces and nephews, both in Michigan and Louisiana. Many, if asked, would describe her as inspirational, caring, loving, an exceptional mother, and someone who you could always count on for comfort and advice.  Flowing in an abundance of virtue, with unwavering faith in the Lord Christ Jesus, she would say to me, "My Faith is Strong."  Her shining light in the darkest trials of life now shines even brighter in the presence of God The Father. Now rest well in your eternal and most righteous reward through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. You have fought the good fight.  Peace is yours.  It is with a heavy heart and tearful sorrow that we say goodbye.  All that knew you still love and miss you.  Until we meet again, dearest Mom... Amen.

Funeral services will be held 11 am Saturday, December 14 at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 616 E. Main St. SE, Caledonia, with Rev. J.B. Stutts officiating.  Burial will be held at St. Patrick’s Cemetery.  Relatives and friends may meet the family on Friday from 6-8 pm at the funeral home, as well as Saturday for one hour prior to the service.
