Cornelia “Kiel/Connie” (Kerkstra) Zuverink, age 98, of Grandville, went to be with her Lord on Monday, April 26, 2021. She was preceded in death by her husband, Simon; brothers, sisters, sisters-in-law, and brothers-in-law. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Jan (Al) Maxim, David Zuverink; grandson, Kyle (Sarah) Maxim; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Hank Zuverink, Don Zuverink, John (Ann) Zuverink, Sarah Mercer, Les Berkenpas; numerous nieces, nephews and extended family and friends. Kiel was a great and loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend and she will be missed. She loved to bake and care for her family. She was a member of Wyoming Park Christian Reformed Church and Faith Community Christian Reformed Church. The family wishes to thank the staff of Brookcrest and Emmanuel Hospice for their loving care of Connie. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 28, 2021, at 2 p.m. at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW with Rev. Roger Groenboom officiating. Relatives and friends may meet the family Wednesday from 1:30-2:00 p.m. at the funeral home prior to the service. The burial will take place at Grandville Cemetery. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Sunset Legacy Foundation or Emmanuel Hospice.

Dear Jan and family. Our condolences on the loss of your mother and grandmother. Aunt Kiel was a special person and a great influence in my life. Watching her and her sisters play setback during Thanksgiving was always a special treat. She will be missed.
