Constance “Connie” Delaine (Colegrove) Vander Wagen, age 87, of Allendale (formerly of Coopersville), was called home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, October 16, 2017. She was preceded in death by her husband, Nathan; infant daughter, Elly; and brother-in-law, George Burica. She will be lovingly remembered by her devoted children, Karen and Steven Cordes, Guy and Sheryl Vander Wagen, Kirk and Claudia Vander Wagen, Cheri Vander Wagen, Craig and Karen Vander Wagen; 15 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; siblings and in-laws, Frank and Betty Colegrove, Diane Burica, Sandra Colegrove; many special nieces and nephews; and lifelong dear friend, Irene Morrison of Fayetteville, NC. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 11 at 11 a.m. at Ottawa Center Chapel, 8991 Leonard St., Coopersville, with Pastor Bob Porterfield officiating. Interment Nunica Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Mel Trotter Ministries.

Karen, Guy, Kirk, Cheri, and Craig and families sorry we won't be able to attend the services for your dear Mother. I will always remember her sweet smile. Praying for peace but know we have the blessed hope to cling to that we will see her again in glory. Hugs to you all. . .

I met Connie about 4 years ago while working at Family Fare. She came in a few times a week, and whenever I saw her, she always had a hug for me and we would chat. I always loved seeing her beautiful smile. She brightened my day. I will miss her.
