Baar, Claude H. BAAR – Claude Henry Baar, aged 80 of Jenison, passed into the arms of God on Friday, November 21, 2014 after a short illness  He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Pearl Baar; his first wife, Marilyn; daughter, Linda Baar; two brothers and one sister.  He is survived by his wife, Rosemary (Carlton) Baar; children, Debra and Lee Nelson, Lori and Terrance Proos; stepchildren, Gregory Carlton, Kevin Carlton, Patrick Carlton; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  He was retired from Steelcase after 38 years.  He loved his family and grandchildren, enjoyed golfing and called himself an electronic gadget man.  The family wishes to thank the staff of Metro Health Hospital and Faith Hospice – Trillium Woods for the loving care they gave Claude.  Funeral services for Claude will be held Tuesday at 11:00 am at the Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Chapel (Kentwood), 4646 Kalamazoo SE with Pastor Dennis Gilbert officiating.  The family will receive relatives and friends at the funeral home from 10 am until the time of service on Tuesday.  Memorial contributions to Faith Hospice – Trillium Woods would be appreciated.
