Clarice Wiers, age 91, of Grandville, passed away peacefully and was called home to her Lord on Saturday, September 17, 2022. Clarice was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She loved playing piano at Jenison Bible Church, especially volunteering for the veterans home for over 25 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cornelius “Corky” Wiers; children, Larry Wiers, Gary Wiers, Dan (Dawn) Wiers, Sandra Bailey, Steven Wiers, and 3 infant children; grandchildren, Alicia Wiers, Gary Wiers Jr.; and her five siblings. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Edward and Gayle Wiers, Susan and Greg Matteson, Jim and Jill Wiers, Jean Idema and Dean Hassevoort; 16 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 22, 2022, at 11 a.m. at Jenison Bible Church, 6360 14th Ave. Hudsonville, with Pastor Mark Bouslog officiating. The burial will take place at Grandville Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Wednesday, September 21, from 4-7 p.m. at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW. An additional visitation will be held on Thursday from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to the service at the church. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Jenison Bible Church.
