Clarence Pohler

Clarence Pohler, age 93, a lifelong resident of Hudsonville, was called home to be with his Lord on Thursday, July 15, 2021. Clarence was a humble servant of Jesus, a loving husband, dad, grandpa, and great-grandpa who took great joy in being with his family. He was preceded in death by his first wife of 45 years, Metta; and his second wife, Laura (Steigenga); his dear friend, Marge DeBoer; his brothers, Fred, Gerrit, and Elmer Pohler; his sister, Henrietta Sal. He will be lovingly remembered by his children, Jack and Sandy Pohler, Bob and Kathy Pohler, Dan and Andrea Pohler; 7 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 20, 2021, 11 a.m. at Immanuel Christian Reformed Church with Pastor Bob Huisman officiating. Burial at Zutphen Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family from 10-11 a.m. prior to the service at church. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Emmanuel Hospice or to the Sunset Legacy Fund.

When God sees fit to take someone So very close and dear I know that he is with you Through your worries and your fear. He doesn't take them forever Though it may seem that way to you You had them longer than he did So now he needs them too. You will soon be with them Someday in Heaven above And you will live forever In an everlasting love. We never want our loved ones To suffer not one day He removes all pain from their bodies When they go with him to stay.
