Hunefeld, Clarence Clarence "Hez" Hunefeld, age 88, of Grand Rapids went to be with his Lord on November 17, 2012, surrounded by his family. He is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Lois Hunefeld; children, Diane and Todd Day, Richard and Mia Hunefeld, Mary and Ron Freybler, Claire and Rev. Jerry Hoek, Barbara Anema; 13 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; sisters, Ann and Ben Hankamp, Wilma Oele, Gladys Holwerda; sister-in-law, Ardene Lambers; brother-in-law, Lester and Helen Vandenberg. He is preceded in death by his brother, Bill Hunefeld. He proudly served as a “Seabee” in the U.S. Navy during WWII. Clarence was a long time member of First Christian Reformed Church, 650 Bates SE, Grand Rapids, where a Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday at 1:00 pm, with Pastors Randy Buursma and Jerry Hoek officiating. Members of the family will receive relatives and friends at the Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf (Kentwood), 4646 Kalamazoo SE, on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm. The family wishes to express their appreciation to the staff of Faith Hospice for their expert care of Clarence.  Memorial contributions may be made to Faith Hospice.
