Clarabelle Porter-Cheal

Clarabelle Porter-Cheal, age 85, of Okemos, formerly of Middleville, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 6, 2021 and was reunited with her husband, Ronald Lee Cheal, who passed away 8 days before her, and her first husband, Robert Allen Porter. Clara was also preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Eliza Harper and her daughter, Sharon Porter. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, David and Carol Porter, Douglas and Amy Porter, Faith and Kevin Herrick, Jeff Porter; grandchildren, Joshua Porter, Jerome and Olivia Brunnemer, Kacy and James Glinski, Kristin and Michael Ray, Stacia and Sarah Schultz, Michaela Herrick; great-grandchildren, Savannah Porter, Cameron Kinser, Landon Kinser, Preston Kinser, Ronan Ellis, Averie Ray, Ethan Glinski, Owen Glinski, Adam Glinski, Ryan Brunnemer; great-great-grandson, Lincoln Steven Ray Holbrook; brother, Don Harper; and many nieces and nephews. Clara was an incredible and wonderful mother who loved spending time with her family. She also loved flowers, professional clowning and having lunch with the Red Hat Ladies. A graveside service will be held 2 pm Tuesday, May 11, 2021 at Alaska Cemetery on the corner of 68th St. and Thornapple River Dr. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the Sparrow Hospice House of Mid Michigan.
