Christine Van Den Top

Christine Ann Van Den Top, age 52, of Coopersville, went to be home with her Lord and Savior on Monday, December 14, 2020. She was preceded in death by her father-in-law, Gerald Van Den Top. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 31 years, Edward Van Den Top; children and grandchildren, Jill (Kevin) Koole [Triston, Jayden, Miriam, Emma, and Rose], Steven Van Den Top, Amy (Joshua) Walters [Vanessa], Trent (Shelbi) Van Den Top [Wyatt]; parents, Martin and Ann Daling; mother-in-law, Clara Van Den Top; siblings, Jim (Karen) Daling, Cathy (Daryl) Brands, Carrie Ream; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Barb (Randy) Feenstra, Ruth (Arlen) TerAvest, Bob (Carey) Van Den Top, Joyce (Karl) VanOostenbrugge, Marge (Bill) Zwak, Don Van Den Top, Lisa Van Den Top, Tom (Erika) Van Den Top. Chris was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was an elementary school librarian for many years where she loved to make stories come alive when she read books aloud to her students. She also was a kindergarten aide and filled in wherever and whenever was needed. Chris also enjoyed spending time tending to her flower garden. A private family funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 17, 2020, at 11 a.m. at Grace Protestant Reformed Church, 11225 8th Ave. NW, Grand Rapids, with Rev. Ronald Van Overloop officiating. The service will be live streamed on the church website graceprc.org and the family encourages you to join them via live stream. The burial will take place at Rosedale Memorial Park. Friends and family may pay their respects on Wednesday, December 16, from 5-7 p.m. at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW where there will be a walk-through visitation with Ed and his children.
