Chester Robert Cain

Chester Robert Cain, age 90, of Jenison, passed away on Sunday, December 12, 2021. Bob was preceded in death by his wife, Ella, and son, Ryan. Bob is survived by his daughter, Lori Dixon; grandchildren, Jessica Dixon, Sarah Dixon, Kenny Dixon; great-grandchildren, Hunter, and Rylann; brother-in-law, Frank Bowling; extended family and friends. Bob served in the US Air Force in Okinawa during the Korean Conflict. Chet retired from Steelcase after many years of service. He could be found at New Beginnings Restaurant every Monday through Friday morning with his group of friends for breakfast, and every Sunday at the racetrack for breakfast, which became his morning ritual. A memorial service will be held at 2:30 pm on Friday, December 17, at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW. Relatives and friends may meet the family Friday from 1:30-2:30 pm prior to the service at the funeral home. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society.
