Charles Harvey Curie, age 83, of Grandville, passed away peacefully, surrounded by family on Friday, January 20, 2023. He was preceded in death by his wife, Donna; and son, Jeffrey Curie. He will be lovingly remembered by his children, Steve and Jean Curie, Randy Curie, Amy Curie; grandchildren, Shawn and James Curie-Bentley, Alysha and Will Burek, Matt and Taylor Curie; great-grandson, Maverick; and many nieces and nephews. Charles enjoyed hunting and spending winters with his wife, Donna, in Florida. He retired from a career as a truck driver in 1996. He was a good father and substitute dad for all who knew him. Charles proudly served his country in the United States Army. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 24, 2023, at 11 a.m. at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW. Interment will be held at Grandville Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Monday, January 23, from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the American Heart Association.
