Charles E. Hildebrand, age 85, of Jenison, went to be with the Lord on Friday, April 17, 2020.  His favorite pastimes were working in his garage and maintaining his lawn.  His greatest joy, however, was his children and grandchildren.  He loved spending time with them and going to their many events.  Charles is survived by his devoted wife of 56 years, Betty; children, Sharon and Steve VanderBroek, Sandra and Gino Peters, Keith and Marcia Hildebrand, Patricia Schneider and friend Kevin Shugars, Kenneth and Tobi Hildebrand; grandchildren, Joe Vander Broek and fiancee, Courtney Thompson, Ben VanderBroek, Ethan Peters, Kyle, and Maddie Hildebrand, Derek, and Nate Schneider, Sidney and Cayden Quarles, Jake, and Katie Hildebrand; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Joyce Akkerman, Fred and Win DeVries, Larry and Lois DeVries, Jack and Pat DeVries; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.  A private graveside service will be held at Georgetown Township Cemetery with a memorial service held at a later date.
