Charles L. “Chuck” Wheat, age 76, of Wyoming, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Wednesday, May 29, 2019. Chuck was a loving and dedicated Dad and Grandpa who was blessed with a great sense of humor. His fun loving spirit and light heartedness was evident to all who knew him.  Chuck worked for 30 years at Michigan Plating and Stamping (Cemsi) where he was also active in the local UAW serving in various capacities. Chuck had an avid love of sports, especially baseball.  He was preceded in death by his son, Jason Oliver; father, Charles Wheat; sisters, Erma Cook, Midge Lee; brother-in-law, Jim Evanczo; and his close friend, Tom Lee. He will be lovingly remembered by his children and grandchildren, Amy and Linda Busby (Jacob, Susan, and Cece), Anne and Bo Williamson (Owen, CharlesCarter, Noah, and Ryan); mother, Medell Wheat; sister, Irene Evanczo; brother-in-law, Wayne Cook; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews; and cousins. Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 3, 2019, at 1 p.m. at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW with Pastor Josh Feldpausch officiating.  Interment will be held at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.  Relatives and friends may meet the family on Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.  Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the MYWAY (Michigan Youth Wrestling Association) Scholarship Fund.
