Family owned and operated for over 85 years.
Charles “Chuck” Peter Myers, age 69, of Jenison, was peacefully called home to be with his Lord and Savior, surrounded by his family on Monday, September 8, 2025. Chuck was a loving husband, dad, grandpa, great-grandpa, brother, uncle, and friend to many. He was blessed with a quick-witted sense of humor and was a great support to his family. He retired as a machine operator from General Motors after 22 years of faithful employment. Following retirement, he worked for Weller Auto and enjoyed the many conversations with his vendors and co-workers. Chuck was an avid sports enthusiast, but his favorite teams of all were the team his kids and grandkids were playing on. Chuck enjoyed the outdoors and spent many summers camping with his wife and kids. One of his greatest passions was fishing with his grandchildren. He especially took great joy spending time in Traverse City with his wife, Pat. Above all, Chuck was a man of integrity and faith, prioritizing time in God’s word. His legacy of love for his family and being a Jesus follower was evident to all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Jean Myers; brother, Richard “Dick” Myers; father-in-law, Dan Sadowski; and brother-in-law, Floyd Veenstra. He will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 45 years, Pat; children, Sarah and Todd Pitsch, Lindsey Weller, Renee and Sam Ballou, Nicki and Branden DeHaan; grandchildren, Conner (Hannah), Breydon, Kaylee, Jack, Piper, Rylee, Gabe, Brianna, Autumn, Colten, Paisley; great-grandchildren, Elliott and Wyatt; mother-in-law, Leona Sadowski; siblings, Robert “Bob” and Phyllis Myers, Nancy Veenstra; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Kathy Myers, Dan and Noreen Vidro, Dan and Mary Sadowski; and many loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at noon on Friday, September 12, 2025, at Rosewood Reformed Church, 2795 Rosewood St., Jenison, with Pastor Brian Myers officiating. Burial will take place at Georgetown Township Cemetery. Relatives and friends may visit with the family Thursday from 5-8 p.m. at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW and also from 11-11:45 a.m. prior to the service at church.
