Charlene Phyllis VanCamp (Storms), of Wyoming MI, passed away at home on her 83rd birthday, June 11, 2019, after fighting a courageous battle with cancer. Charlene was born to Charles and Marian Storms in Grandville, MI on June 11, 1936.  She married Russell VanCamp in 1955 and together they raised two children.  Russ and Char were married 45 years before Russ’ death in 2001.  Char leaves behind her children Lori and Tom Dumez, Jeff and Tammy VanCamp, and Darlene Johnson. She is also survived by her 6 grandchildren, Katie Cook (Derek), Daniel Moore (Jennifer), Eric Dumez (Jamie), Shayna VanCamp, Tyler VanCamp, and Emily Ross; as well as 5 great-grandchildren, Brayden, Jackson, Harper, Claire and Hayley; sister, Barbara Maiville. A Celebration of her life  will be held on Saturday, June 15,  11 am at Jenison Christian Church, 7003 - 28th Ave, Hudsonville, with Pastor Steve North officiating.  Relatives and friends may meet the family Friday 6-8 pm at Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW, and from 10 to 10:45 am Saturday at church prior to the service.
