Remembering Charlene Julia Viola Hintz
Charlene Julia Viola Hintz, age 76, of Wyoming, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, December 28, 2022. Char graduated from South High School and became a talented seamstress. She also worked many years at Triangle Window Fashions making window treatments and commercial curtains for many local homes and businesses and taught window treatment courses to others. She loved her quilting guild at her church. She was an avid artist, voracious reader and loved traveling the U.S. with her husband, often on her own motorcycle. Most of all, her family and her faith were most important to her. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 49 years, Raymond; children: Michael (Boyd Bradshaw) Hintz, Rory (Nora) Hintz, Robin Burdick, Rochelle Hintz, Russell (Lidia) Hintz, Renee Hintz, Kelly (Chris) Meyers; many grandchildren: Rachael (Robert) Weideman, Jessica (Joshua) Bird, Emily Hintz, Kathryn Hintz, Joshua (Meagan) Hintz, Miriah (Jesse) Menditto, Matt Burdick, Mitchell Burdick, Jacinta Maciel, Adrian (Samantha) Maciel, Celeste Maciel, Sergio Maciel, Adam Berray, Kendall Meyers, C.J. Meyers, Cody Stetson, Zack Stetson, Tori, Danielle Dupuis, Abby Dupuis, Drew; 31 great grandchildren; sister and brother: Garth Tetzlaff, Charlotte (Kenneth) Hoekstra; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her children: Rhonda, Rodney, Raelynn; grandson, Mario; parents, Warner and Alice Tetzlaff; brother and sister, Keith Tetzlaff, Gloria Barnum. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, January 3, 2023 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 2 Michigan St. NE, Grand Rapids, with Pastor Thomas Gustafson officiating. A private burial will be held at Rosedale Memorial Park. Relatives and friends may meet the family Tuesday from 10-11 a.m. at the church prior to the service. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the quilting group at Immanuel Lutheran.
