In High School, we all have that one teacher or coach that stands out. That person who mentors and is always there for you. Cathy Wilson (Ms. Wilson) was that person for me, I met her when I was 16, she was fresh out of college with a lot to offer. After High School Cathy and I became friends, we shared so many things, laughs, sorrows, heart aches, marriage, kids and so much more, she is the true friend that is always there. This spring Cathy called me to tell me she was diagnosed with ALS. ALS is a disease that is debilitating and robs you of everything. Today through tears and absolute heart ache I learned that Cath went home, because Heaven needs those special people too! Miss you already girl! Mike, Ann and family know that you are in our thoughts and prayers.

Cathy was such a wonderful person & will be missed dearly by anyone that had the privilege to know her. I am saddened for Mike who was with her constantly through this awful battle with ALS. Also for Ann, my dear friend, Cathy's sister, who planned to spend SO much time with her once she retired. Unfortunately, that time was short, but well spent. Their bond was great and true & this will not erase it. To Cath's entire family and all of her friends, I'm so sorry her life on earth ended so soon. We will all miss her. Goodbye by friend, until we meet again.
