Catherine Lupton

Catherine Ann Lupton, age 68, of Marne, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, September 23, 2022, and is now home with her Lord and Savior. Cathy was a kind and loving wife, mother, and grandmother who was blessed with a servant’s heart and always put others before herself. She had a love for the water, especially Lake Michigan where many memories were made boating with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Louise Huisken. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 38 years, Bob Lupton; children, Clint and Tara Lupton, Chuck Lupton and Lisa Brehmer, Jodi and Nate Bergeron, Jenni Lupton. She was a grandmother to Connor, Paige, Avery, Grant, Harry, and Benny. She is also survived by her siblings, Sharon Meendering, Jimmy and Mary Huisken, Ricky and Linda Huisken, Nancy Fransen and Wendell Kennedy; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Mary and Dick Cain; several loving nieces, nephews and cousins; and her beloved “fur family”, Tug, Anchor, and Cali. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, October 3, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 2510 Richmond St NW, Grand Rapids, with Fr. Mark Przybysz presiding. The burial will be held at Holy Cross Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Monday from 10-11 a.m. prior to the service at the church. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Catholic Charities West Michigan.
