Catherine “Kate” Doele, age 93, passed away on Wednesday, October 26, 2016. She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis and her daughter Catherine (Katie) Bailey. She is survived by her children, Anne and Bob Lillie, Christine and Mike Doele Musser, Margaret and Frank Koeder, Harry and Lynette Doele, Frederick Doele; nine grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held 11am on Saturday, December 3, 2016 at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home, 616 E. Main St, Caledonia, followed by a luncheon at the Caledonia United Methodist Church. Private burial will be held at RestLawn Memorial Park.

My heart goes out to all the children, grandchildren and the great grandchildren. She was a lovely lady and will be missed greatly. I always got a kick on Halloween, she had special bags made up for certain children, mine thought they were so important to go into the house and get theirs.

Every Halloween when my girls were little the only house they wanted to go to 4was mrs doeles. She remembered both there names even in there costumes. She will seriously be mmissed by her caledonia community. She was a wonderful lady.

We enjoyed taking our mom to visit Kate and were always amazed at how sharp her mind was!
