Catherine Diane Boeve, age 55, of Grandville and formerly of Calhaun, GA, and Downey, CA went to be with Jesus on Wednesday, January 22, 2025. Catherine loved big - she loved the beach and the sunshine, but most of all she loved her family and put others before herself. She was a fighter, battling ovarian cancer over the past couple of years. Catherine will be lovingly remembered by her husband of four years, Jeffrey; children and grandchildren, Josh McAdams (Elliana), Katie Schubert (Harper), Grace Schubert, Emily, Jeremiah, and Justin Boeve; parents, Richard and Bridget McAdams; and sister, Cindy McAdams-Moran. A memorial service will be held at 2 pm on Sunday, January 26, 2025 at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Grandville) 4145 Chicago Dr. SW with Pastor Terry Scholten officiating. Relatives and friends may visit with the family Sunday from 1-2 pm prior to the service at the funeral home. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Michigan Ovarian Cancer Alliance.

Even though I only got to meet Cathie on rare occasion, I feel like I knew her a bit through her mom. I know her earthly family misses her greatly, I also know they take comfort that she is no longer in physical pain & surrounded by majestic beauty & peace none of us can phantom. I want to celebrate Cathie’s life through hearing stories & sweet moments as remembered & remembered & expressed by her family. She touched so many lives in a profound way. Her memory will live on in the lives she touched & impacted. She made a difference & left her mark on this world.

Your precious smile and joy filled a room and always beckoned us to be around you. When you reached out to me years ago after I went through my divorce I cherished the depth of our connection from our younger years. Your heart was compassionate and your friendship priceless. I’m just so sorry we never had an opportunity to connect in person. That just saddens my heart….but someday we will eternally. Prayers of comfort for your family that I know you loved with all your heart. May they find blessings in abundance during this time of loss and sorrow. I love and will miss you my friend.

Cathie, you have been a friend for many years and even a relative for awhile but most of all you have been one of my favorite people. Generations have changed but you were always there for anyone. You took care of your children-biological or not they were all still your children. You have been such a friend and an ear to listen. You will be truly missed. Until we see each other again.
