BLACQUIERE - Mrs. Catherine (Chick) Blacquiere went to her heavenly home on Monday, February13, 2017. She was born December 9, 1923 to Charles and Annie (Hatfield) Maddox. She was preceded in death by a brother, John Doot; grandson, Jonathan Blacquiere, great grandson, Hunter Van Der Kolk and the love of her life, her husband, Henry Blacquiere. She leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Henry (Gloria) Blacquiere, Bob (Jane) Blacquiere, Bill (Carol) Blacquiere, Mary (Bryan) Prins; grandchildren, Maaike (Joe) Dombrowski, Marcie (Scott) Masselink, Tara (Andy) Schreur, Zach (Deb) Blacquiere, Elly (Ryan) Ter Beek, Jessie (Brandon) Funk, Tauna (Kyle) Blackport, Billie (Tim) Van Der Kolk, Carly and fiance' Kelly O'Brien, Alexis and fiance' Eric Weber; great grandchildren, Katherine, Calvin, Westyn, Aidyn, Colton, Ava, Meg, Mya, Reagan, Wyatt, Kendall, Layla, Josephine, Daxton, Pryor, Evie, Macklyn, Addison, Payton, Christian; her brother, Bill Doot; her sister, Shirley (Gary) Kobben; sister-in-law, Arlene Doot; many nieces and nephews. "Chick" was an energetic, happy person who truly loved the company of people, especially her family. She was loved and will be missed. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, February 16, 2017 at Immanuel Christian Reformed Church, 33 Elwell St. SW with Pastor Dave Adams officiating. Interment Garfield Park Cemetery. The family will greet relatives and friends Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Stegenga Funeral Chapel, 3131 S. Division Ave and one hour prior to the service at church.
