Carolyn Szubinski

SZUBINSKI - Carolyn Szubinski, age 56, went to be with her Lord while surrounded by her family on Monday morning, February 11, 2019 after a courageous battle with brain cancer. She is preceded in death by her father, Norton Thompson. Carolyn is survived by her husband of 35 years, David Szubinski; sons, Matthew (Julie) Szubinski, Eric Szubinski, Travis Szubinski; one grandchild on the way; mother, Mary Lou Thompson; brothers, David (Sue) Thompson, Tim (Jodi) Thompson; sister, Mary Beth Thompson; father and mother-in-law, Norman and Helen Szubinski; brothers and sisters-in-law, Theresa Barck, Mike Szubinski, Kathy (Ken) Swain, Norma (Dale Peplinski) Vachon, Chrissy (David) Laug, Donald (Carla) Szubinski; many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00 AM Friday, February 15, 2019 at Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church, 6390 Belmont Ave. NE, Belmont. Carolyn's family will greet relatives and friends 1:00 to 3:00 PM and 5:00 to 7:00 PM Thursday at Stegenga Funeral Chapel, 1601 Post Drive NE, Belmont and one hour prior to mass at church on Friday. Prayers of the rosary will be recited at 7:00 PM on Thursday at the funeral chapel. Memorial contributions in Carolyn's memory may be made to Carolyn's family.
