Carolyn Lueders

Carolyn Margaret (Schudlich) Lueders, formerly of Oxford, Michigan, went to be with her Lord on Sunday, May 25, 2014, at Clark Retirement Community in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Carol was born September 3, 1929, in Detroit, Michigan and was a 1946 graduate of Denby High School, serving for many years on reunion committees. Carol was past president of the Lessenger PTA in Madison Heights, Michigan. After the Lueders family moved to Oxford in 1974, Carol was secretary at the Oxford Middle School for many years until her retirement. Carol participated in several ministries of Christ the King Church in Oxford, and she loved to sing with the ladies of Classic Chorale. Carol is survived by her loving husband, Herold James (Jim) Lueders, whom she married on April 12, 1952; her children John and Ruth (Uecker) Lueders, Martin Lueders, and Steven Lueders; and grandchildren David and Amy, Sara, James, Joseph, and Roy. Preceding her in death were her parents Chris and Margaret (Rickel) Schudlich. A funeral service will be held at 7:30 PM on Wednesday, May 28, 2014, at Messiah Lutheran Church, 2727 Five Mile Road NE, Grand Rapids, Michigan, 49525, the Reverend Thomas Bartzsch officiating. Relatives and friends may meet the family starting at 6:30 PM prior to the memorial service. Private interment is planned for a later date at St Augustine's House, Oxford.
