Together again, Carolyn Forbes, 89, of Kentwood, Michigan, left this Earth on Good Friday, April 14, 2017, to be reunited in Heaven with her beloved husband, Chuck Forbes. They were the love of each other’s lives and were married for 66 years. Carolyn was born in Meridian, Mississippi. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles W. Forbes; her parents, Prentiss and Jennie (Hancock) Fulton; brother, Bill Fulton; and infant daughter, Janet Noreen Forbes. She was a member of Wesley Park United Methodist Church; Wyoming, MI. Carolyn was a past member of Bridgewater UMC in Bridgewater, NJ, and Aldersgate UMC in Redford Township, MI. Our mother was an amazing person. She taught us all how to love. Mom was a living example of unconditional love for her husband, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She never missed a game, a recital, a play or anything that involved her family. Mom was interested and listened when you talked to her no matter what you had to say. She was happiest when she was surrounded by her family at the dinner table, laughing and telling stories. Carolyn is survived by her children: Tim and Deb Forbes, Steve and Karen Forbes, Eric and JoAnn Forbes, Paul and Cathy Forbes, Carol and Leon Greiner; her grandchildren: Jenn and Tyler White, Erin and Matthew Koop, Heather and Noel Brandt, Kevin and Jess Forbes, Kathleen and Colleen Forbes, Amanda and Andrew Williamson, Kegan Forbes, Greg and Kate Greiner, Allison Greiner; her great grandchildren: Collin and Addison White, Madeline Koop, Inara, Joiya and Liana Brandt, Kaylee and Kaden Forbes and Riley Greiner; sister-in-law, Margaret Fulton; many nieces and nephews. A private memorial is being planned. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to Faith Hospice at Trillium Woods, https://www.faithhospicecare.org/donate/donate-now, 2100 Raybrook SE Ste. 300, Grand Rapids, MI 49546.
