Carolyn (Connie) Grzesiak

Carolyn (Connie) L. Grzesiak, age 77, of Hudsonville, was called to her heavenly home on Thursday, March 19, 2020, surrounded by her loving family.   Connie’s battle with Parkinson’s ended as she was brought home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus.  She was preceded in death by her dad, Elden Richardson, parents-in-law, William and Frances Grzesiak, step-mother-in-law, Gladys Grzesiak, and brother-in-law Wes Wietsma.  She will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 55 years, Rick; mother Caroline Richardson; children, Michelle and Benjamin Kapla, Kathy and John Rietberg, Rick II and Karen Grzesiak; six grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; sister, Nancy (Tom) Post, sister-in-law, Judy Wietsma; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and special friends, Ev Ferguson, and Maureen Dutkiewicz.  Connie was a loving, caring wife, mother and grandmother.  She and Rick were founding members of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church.   Her priorities were family and church.  She loved caring for others and spent 12 years operating a licensed childcare home.  The family would like to thank the staff of Sheldon Meadows for the love and care that Connie received while she was there.  A private funeral service will be held on Monday, March 23, at 11 am at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church with Fr. Colin Mulhall presiding.  Entombment at Resurrection Cemetery.  A celebration of Connie’s life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family would appreciate memorial contributions to the Holy Redeemer Catholic Parish Outreach program.
