Carole Joan Norton, age 85, of Wyoming, passed away peacefully to be with her Lord and Saviour on Saturday, July 25, 2020. She was preceded in death by her parents, Martin and Gertrude VanDreumel, and her sister, Irene Zoppa. She will be lovingly remembered by her three children: Julie (Paul) Banfill, Pat (Ranae) Norton, and Tom Norton; six grandchildren; three great grandchildren; six siblings: Mike (Ann) VanDreumel, Larry VanDreumel, Bob (Gerrie) VanDreumel, Bill (Annette) VanDreumel, Linda Zoppa, Barb Popma; many nieces and nephews. Carole was employed with Butterworth Hospital for 52 years as a history medical transcriptionist. She also volunteered numerous times at VanAndel Museum and Civic Theater.  All who met her loved her dearly and will never forget how she would light up a room with her beautiful smile and great sense of humor.  Carole was a generous and selfless person and will be missed by family and friends.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday 11:00 am at St. John Vianney Church, 4101 Clyde Park SW, Wyoming, with Rev. John Vallier presiding. Burial at Resurrection Cemetery. Relatives and friends may meet the family Thursday prior to Mass at church from 10:00 to 11:00 am.  Those who wish may make memorial contributions to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
