Obituary
Remembering Carol Ondersma
Carol Jean Ondersma, age 78, of Allendale, Michigan, went to be with the Lord surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, August 18, 2026.
She cherished her grandchildren and treasured the time spent with family and friends. She and her husband were proud members of the Dusty Wheels Model A Ford Club, enjoying the fellowship and friends that came with it. Her faith was an important part of her life, and she loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was also deeply proud to be an American.
She especially loved Christmas, shopping, and spending time with those she held dear. She found joy in cooking and caring for others, always looking for ways to make the people she loved feel special. Some of her happiest memories were made at the cabin, where there was plenty of laughter and time to simply enjoy life. She had a wonderful gift for making others laugh and will be remembered for her loving heart, kindness, and grace.
She was preceded in death by father, George Jenkins II and mother, Marilla Jenkins; grandson, Gideon Ford; sisters-in-law, Shirley Vanderband and Linda Jenkins; and her dear friends, Mary Lou Klawiter and Shirley Scholten.
She will be lovingly remembered by her loving husband of 58 years, Howard Ondersma; children, Lori Jo (Roger) Dyke, Bobbi (Jeff) Sall, and Kati (David) Ford; grandchildren, Kelsi (Chrisopher) Morrison, Maggi (Mitchell) Welton-Sall, Shelbi (Zach) Diamond, Mckenzi (Micheal Wixted) Sall, Mason Howard Dyke, Ezra Ford, Joy Ford, Ruby Ford, and Elisha Ford, three great-grandchildren, Averi Morrison, Carli Morrison, and Everett Diamond; siblings, George (Gloria) Jenkins III, Harry Jenkins, and Karen Ball; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends may visit with the family on Saturday, August 22, 2026, from 11 a.m.-2:00 p.m. at Matthysse Kuiper DeGraaf Funeral Home (Allendale) 6651 Scott St., Allendale. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Love INC Northeast Ottawa County or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
