Carol Lynn Geers Bajema, age 69, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, May 20, 2019 in Bradenton, FL. She was born on July 9, 1949 in Grant, MI to Harold Jay Geers and Elaine (VanDuinen) Geers. Carol was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Bajema; son, Jonathan David Bajema; father, Harold Jay Geers; and sister, Sharon Thatcher. She is survived by her daughter, Nicole (Wellington) Oliveira; grandchildren, Kylie, Carter, Caden, Cole and Tyler; her mother, Elaine Geers; sister, Phyllis (Dirk) Bakhuyzen; brothers, Cal (Noni) Geers, Brian (Amy) Geers; brother-in-law, Steve Thatcher; many nieces and nephews. Carol enjoyed traveling to different places throughout the world and loved spending time with her family. She enjoyed serving at her church and cooking many different types of meals for family and friends. Carol was an avid volunteer at many non-profit organizations. According to her wishes, cremation has taken place. A private family graveside service will be held at Hillside Cemetery.  Relatives and friends may meet the family for a time of visiting, remembering and refreshments at 3 pm on Saturday, June 22, 2019 in the Memories Room of Matthysse-Kuiper-DeGraaf Funeral Home, 4145 Chicago Dr. SW, Grandville.
